Player Development Program

Iconic Hockey Player Development Program is  designed to help kids improve their hockey skills in an extremely fun environment through a single focus repetitive format. Each session focuses on only one or two drills involving multiple skill sets that sees players rotate through the drills multiple times over a 15-20 minute time period. This format usually results in vastly improved technique and increased speed performing the drill by the end of the time.

Each session will involve a completely different drill emphasizing a different skill but many times incorporating parts of drills from previous sessions to reinforce those skills again and again. The drills are quick, challenging and fun.

We have 2-3 instructors on the ice with the players each session.

3 on 3 Hockey starts after the skill development session is completed. Players break into their respective teams and play a 30 minute 3 on 3 cross-ice game consisting of 1 1/2 minute shifts. We really want to focus on encouraging the players to be creative and have fun. There is no positional play or face-offs. We want the kids to learn to play with each other, pass the puck and think outside the box…these are skills that are generally not worked on in normal hockey practices and are extremely important to expanding a players creativity in game situations.

From session to session we will mix the teams up so that everyone gets the chance to play games with a different teammate.
